Announcing Entire’s $60M Seed
AI agents are rewriting the rules of software development at the most fundamental level. Code is being generated faster than humans can review it, and the infrastructure we've relied on for decades — Github, databases, CI/CD pipelines — were built for a world where humans wrote every line. That world has ended.
When infrastructure breaks at this depth, everything downstream has to change. We've written before about how agents are forcing the entire developer tooling layer to be rethought and rebuilt. The developer platform itself — where code lives, how it's versioned, how humans and agents collaborate — may be the most consequential piece of all.
We invested in Entire's $60M seed round, the largest in developer tools history, because Thomas Dohmke and his team are the ones to rebuild it. We've known Thomas for years and have long believed he sees where software development is heading more clearly than almost anyone. As the former CEO of GitHub, he oversaw the platform that defined the last era. Now he's building what comes next.
Entire is a new developer platform designed for human and AI agent collaboration. The company’s first product, Entire Rewind, is an open source tool that captures agent sessions in Git on every push. It makes it easy to rewind to any commit with full context to reproduce or fix prior results. Entire will be the interface supercharging developers and enabling them to keep up with agents in a world where thousands of changes are being made every day.
This isn't incremental improvement. It's a recognition that the entire system of software production, from issues to repositories to deployment, must be redesigned for a world where machines are the primary producers of code. Thomas and team have both the vision and the experience to make something this ambitious real.
